About the Office of Medical Education

Introduction

The Office of Medical Education (OMED) pursues teaching, research, and service missions related to the education of medical students.

OMED offers a broad range of services to students and faculty, including academic development for students, instructional support for courses and clerkships, facilities management, course and faculty evaluation, informatics and informational technology support for instructional units, faculty development, program evaluation, testing services, and individual consultation.

OMED develops new educational and curricular initiatives in conjunction with the Curriculum Committee and conducts research in medical education.

OMED's human resources include a faculty associate dean, a faculty associate director, an assistant director/administrator, and a talented staff of administrative and curricular support personnel.
