Medical Interviewing Course Facilitator Training

The medical interviewing course for first-year medical students is the key introductory experience in which medical students begin work on communication skills germane to the patient-physician relationship.  For more than two decades, this faculty-intensive course has provided essential experience to the physicians-in-training.  One of the reasons this course has been so successful is the careful preparation of faculty prior to the course.  During late August each year, course directors conduct a one-day faculty development session for faculty who are new to this course.

For additional information about becoming a facilitator in the medical interviewing course or participating in this unique faculty development session, contact the Office of Medical Education at 412-648-8714.
