Course Description
This course introduces students to the underlying pathophysiology and phenomenology of skin disorders, presenting basic approaches to assessment and management, to prepare them for clinical rotations.
Course Objectives
- Explain the etiology and pathogenesis of common dermatologic conditions.
- Demonstrate a systematic approach to describing the appearance of skin conditions and the differential diagnosis.
- Review clinical cases with history and physical examinations and use clinical reasoning to determine appropriate diagnostic tests, diagnosis, and treatment plans.

Evaluation
Evaluation for this course is based on a cumulative, graded Summative exam.
