Award for Outstanding Medical Student Contributions to the Curriculum

This award recognizes a current medical student (or team of students) at any level who has demonstrated leadership and excellence in improving important aspects of the UPSOM curriculum.

The Award for Outstanding Medical Student Contributions to the Curriculum recognizes a current medical student (or team) at any level who has demonstrated leadership and excellence in improving important aspects of the curriculum at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.  Students often take the initiative to work on curricular improvement, and we want to recognize those contributions.  Examples of contributions might be:  significant improvements to courses or clerkships, helping to redesign curricular sequence or elements, developing new teaching/learning materials/resources, integrating external and internal educational resources, or developing new policies or procedures that relate to curriculum.
