The Nominations Subcommittee is charged with the task of recruiting and vetting candidates for election to the Curriculum Committee, and also certifying elections. The subcommittee consists of at least three Curriculum Committee members from both basic and clinical science departments, who report to the full committee and annually propose a slate of candidates.
The Nominations Subcommittee, with the help of the Curriculum Committee Executive Subcommittee, solicits nominations for the elected positions of the Curriculum Committee. Nominations come from individual faculty members themselves, peers, or UPSOM leaders (e.g., department chairs or course directors).
The Nominations Subcommittee will seek to recruit faculty from diverse backgrounds to serve.
