Catherine Gowl, MFA

Catherine designs, plans, implements and trains SPs to support simulation education events, and physical and sensitive exam skills and teaching.
Originally from NYC, Catherine holds a BA in History and Literature from Harvard, and an MFA in Acting from The Old Globe/University of San Diego. Catherine has a background in performance and performance education. She has performed as an actor and puppeteer throughout the US and abroad, and taught movement, acting, and devising at the university level. She comes to this position after years of working as a standardized patient, and a trainer of standardized patients. She is passionate about embodied communication and the pursuit of empathy.
