Tara McCoy, PhD, MSCP
- CAP Assistant Director
Dr. Tara McCoy is the Community Alliance Program (CAP) Assistant Director. She oversees CAP in collaboration with faculty leadership. She recruits and manages relationships with community partner organizations, reviews curriculum content, and supports the program evaluation process.
Before joining OMED, Dr. McCoy worked at Western Psychiatric Hospital providing inpatient and outpatient care since 2004. She has experience with cultural diversity in healthcare and specializes in minority research. Dr. McCoy is excited to work at Pitt, where she received her undergraduate degree in Psychology. Dr. McCoy has a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology and a Ph.D. in Psychology.
